Imagine you’re dreaming of owning a home but don’t know where to start. How much can you afford? What is needed to buy a home? Effi steps in to make the process simple. With just a few taps, it calculates your budget and potential loan amount, giving you the confidence to move forward.

Challenge & Responsibilities

Effi already had the proof of concept, but it needed a strong identity and a clear, easy-to-use app to launch the product on the market. I worked with Überseehub to turn Effi into an app that could guide future homeowners step-by-step to buy their dream home.

Benchmark competitors and define the scope of our MVP

We began by researching the market to understand how the competitors currently support potential home buyers in the buying process and what they lacked. The goal was to identify unaddressed user needs and build our MVP scope up on these.

Building the Foundation of a unique Brand Identity

Working with another designer, we defined the style guide, visual language and component library to build Effi. We wanted to create a brand that would stand out from the competitors while feeling trustworthy and playful.

Designing a Market-Ready App and Landing Page

With our MVP Scope we wanted to mainly target potential home buyers without much knowledge of what it takes to buy a home. We designed features like a personalized dashboard offering a clear overview of their options, calculators to estimate the buying budget and property market value, as well as tools to compare financing options from different banks.

Outcome

Effi’s app and landing page were ready for market within 3 months, with a clear identity, seamless functionality, and a focus on making home-buying easier. With the groundwork in place, Effi can continue to grow and help more people take the first steps toward buying their dream home.
